Choose from the following wood species to view door styles and finishes:

Maple Cabinets

Maple                 Maple Doorstyles   Maple Finishes
Maple is characterized by its smooth, even, fine-grained pattern. Though it does show some color variation, it's more uniform in appearance than most hardwoods. Mineral streaks are common in maple and look darker when stained. As this wood ages, natural and frost finishes will yellow or fade.
Hickory Cabinets

Hickory             Hickory Doorstyles   Hickory Finishes
Hickory is one of the stronger hardwoods and is characterized by dramatic color variations. These range from white sapwood to reddish-brown heartwood, even in the same piece. With age, hickory mellows and its color variations become less apparent. Other features that mark this wood are associated with tree growth: pinholes, burls and color streaks. Because no two pieces of hickory are the same, some HomeCrest cabinet parts will show fewer of these characteristics than others.

Oak                         Oak Doorstyles   Oak Finishes
Northern red oak is known for its predominant grain patterns. They appear as relatively straight lines that often converge in either an arch or a point. Color varies from pink to green. Values vary from light to dark. These variations are especially noticeable in natural and light finishes.

Cherry               Cherry Doorstyles   Cherry Finishes
Cherry is a smooth, even-grained hardwood known for its warm, rich look. Over time, especially with prolonged exposure to bright or direct sunlight, the color will darken and redden significantly. Cherry also is distinguished by such characteristics as sapwood, mineral streaking, fine pinholes and pitch pockets. These are not flaws, but features entirely natural to this elegant hardwood.

Thermofoil / Melamine           Doorstyles   Finishes
Thermofoil surfaces are noted for their sleek, clean, contemporary look — and for their durability. They are impervious to most non-abrasive household cleaning fluids. And they're especially easy to clean. Common food stains disappear with the wipe of a damp cloth. HomeCrest offers four rigid Thermofoil lines that vary in style and price.
